Arlene K. Kolich

November 13, 1932 — June 2, 2024

Arlene K. Kolich (nee Vicker), passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on November 13, 1932, in Milwaukee, Arlene lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a warm-hearted presence that deeply touched all who knew her.

Arlene was the cherished wife of the late Joseph Kolich, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and unwavering companionship. Together, they built a family founded on the principles of love and kindness, values that Arlene embodied every day. She was a loving mother to her children, Jim (Roberta) Kolich, Kip Kolich (Debbie), Nancy (Dean) McGrew, and Keith Kolich. Her role as grandma was one she relished with joy and pride, doting on her grandchildren Kara, Joey, Kip J. (Amanda), and Caitlin (Auscencio). Arlene's love continued to blossom with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Ava, Danny, Elijah, Alivia, and Luis, each of whom brought her immeasurable happiness.

Arlene was the dear sister of Sharon and the late Joan, and her life was further enriched by the presence of many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Her warmth and affection extended beyond her immediate family and touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of her company.

A proud graduate of Girls Tech, Arlene's educational pursuits laid a foundation for the dedication and care she brought into her home. Embracing her role as a homemaker, she created a haven of comfort and love for her family, a place where everyone was always welcome and where laughter and joy were never in short supply.

Arlene's interests were a reflection of her gentle spirit and her appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. She had a fondness for old music and could often be found humming along to tunes from a bygone era. Television shows like Abbott and Costello brought her laughter and nostalgia, while her love for paint by numbers allowed her to express her creative side in vibrant bursts of color. One of Arlene's greatest joys was working in her flower garden.
