Arlen Roush

Arlen Henrietta Roush, nee Kleinowski, passed away on November 21, 2024 at the age of 91. She was born on December 22, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Peter P. Kleinowski and Alice Wojciechowski. On November 25, 1950, she married the love of her life, Jerome Roush, at St. Alexander Church. This month, Jerry and Arlen would have celebrated 74 years of marriage. 

Arlen was an incredibly warm and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She poured her love into her family through her handmade crafts, creating cherished quilts, desserts, and treasures that brought joy to all. Crafting was Arlen’s love language, and her family continues to carry on her creative spirit. She made every Christmas magical with her traditions, including the treasured search for the pickle ornament on her tree. 

Arlen is the cherished mother of Lee Ann (Bob Losee) Roush, Kim (Larry) Waldhart, Jaye (Rich Zemlicka) Roush, and Robin (Jeff) Mikorski. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Tracy Roush. She was the adoring grandmother of Caitlyn (Josh) Kon, Logan Mikorski, and Chloe Mikorski, and the dearly loved great-grandmother to Michael, Oliver, and Eleanor Kon. 

She is survived by her brother Thomas (Diana) Kleinowski and preceded in death by her sisters Carol Vivian (Kenneth) Fisher and Shirley Barbara (John) Kwapiszewski, as well as her brother Roy (Kathleen) Kleinowski. 

Arlen’s legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will live on in the hearts of her family. She was, and will always be, the love of Jerome’s life, and her heart will forever remain a part of all who knew and loved her. 

Visitation will take place at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 3160 South 63rd Street, Milwaukee, WI 53219 on Tuesday, November 26th from 10 AM to 10:45 AM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM. Private burial at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
