Anthony V. Banaszynski, a loving husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, and brother, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 17, 2023, in Muskego, Wisconsin. Born on July 7, 1940, in Angelica, Wisconsin, Anthony was the son of the late Wanda and Anton Banaszynski.
Anthony grew up in Pulaski, Wisconsin, and later moved to Milwaukee in his senior year, where he graduated from Pulaski High School. A man of many talents, Anthony was known for his intelligence, passion, and handy skills. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He took great pride in maintaining and caring for the 30 fruit trees, raspberry bushes and grape vines on his property.
Anthony was the beloved husband of Mable (Theys) Banaszynski for over 60 years. Loving father of Sonya Shaw, Wendy (Dave Dempsey) Banaszynski, Mona (Mike) Kerkhoff, and Andrew (the late Diana) Banaszynski. He was a proud grandpa to Alan Shaw, Amanda (Jon) Bird, Nicole (Jared) Vike, Josh Prigan, and Jacob Kerkhoff. Great grandpa to Neela and a very soon little Bird.
In addition to his immediate family, Anthony is survived by his dear sister Marian (the late Richard) Wisth, and brothers Jim (Marge) Banaszynski and George (the late Janice) Banaszynski and sister-in-law Bernice Banaszynski. He was preceded in death by his sisters Alice (the late Ray) Kaczmarek, Elaine (the late Frank) Bialozynski, Joyce (the late Ray) Feck, and Shirley (the late Don) Hoekman, and brother Robert (Bernice) Banaszynski. Anthony will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Anthony enjoyed spending time camping up north in Tipler, Wisconsin, where he could immerse himself in nature and share his love for the outdoors with his family. His passion for life and commitment to his loved ones will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation for Anthony V. Banaszynski will be held at the Max Sass Funeral Home-Mission Hills Chapel (8910 W. Drexel Ave., Franklin, WI 53132) on Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 9 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM. Burial will be held privately at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery. Any memorials will be directed to organizations that Tony was passionate about, ensuring that his legacy of love and service will continue to touch the lives of others.
Anthony's life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and hard work. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
