Balistreri, Anthony S. ''Buzz'' On Wednesday May 2nd Tony's yearlong battle with Pancreatic Cancer ended. He fought with quiet dignity, just as he lived his life. If ever there was a gentle man, it was Tony. His greatest love was his family. Whether he was working with Marsha on their home, making spaghetti for family dinners on Sundays, hanging out with his boys in the workshop for hours, putting up with the antics of ''his girls'', managing both the men's and women's softball teams at Louis Allis and Magnetek setting up the jogging league for MIRC or organizing bowling banquets, Tony gave all of these endeavors his undivided attention and patience. He was proud of the time he served his country while in the Navy, and was a member of the American Legion Post #95 in Delavan, WI. Born December 7, 1940 to Tom and Hermina (Nee Schenk) Balistreri. Tony is survived by his wife of 43 years Marsha (Nee Lile). Daughters Sue (Jack) Feuerstein, Chris (Randy) Popp, Grandsons Joe & C.J. Popp, his twin brother Bob (Sue), brothers Dan (Debra), Dennis (Merry) Balistreri, and sister Cheryl Block, relatives and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to Messmer High School Track & Field program 742 W. Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53206 or St. Joe's School Angel Fund, Big Bend appreciated. A Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday May 12th at St. Joe's Catholic Church (S89 W22650 Milwaukee, Ave.) Big Bend from 10 AM until the time of a Memorial Mass at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Rural Home Cemetery, Big Bend. Our deepest appreciation to Tony's team of DR's and nurses at St. Lukes Medical Center. He could not have fought as hard as he did without your support and team work. We were blessed to have all of you.
