Anthony H. Hudy

May 7, 1939 — September 9, 2017

Hudy, Anthony H. From the arms of loved ones to the loving embrace of Jesus Our Lord, Anthony left us to receive his eternal reward on Saturday, September 9 at the age of 78. Strong in character, he led by example a large family with warmth and grace and touched all he met. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandra; daughters and sons Maria (Jeranek) Diaz, (Bernardo), Anthony Jr. (Mary Jo), Lawrence (Jeffy), (Teresita), Sharon (Michael) Chelig and Charles (Denise); and sister Linda Ludwig. He leaves 10 grandchildren and 26 great-children, as well as many friends made throughout his life. By his guidance, many descendants hold Associate, Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees. At 17 he joined the United States Air Force and as a member of the Strategic Air Command 8th Air Force, held the rank of Airman Second Class. He loved his country, our flag and all that it stood for in a world where many lack freedom. A former employee of Geo J. Meyer Manufacturing, he served as Recording Secretary of Local Union 1258 Steelworkers. Anthony retired from the Milwaukee Public Schools where, with pride, he maintained the High School of the Arts as a boiler attendant. Visitation will be held at King of Glory Lutheran Church (4330 S. 84th St., Greenfield) on Thursday, Sept 14 from 9-11:45AM. Funeral Service at 12PM. Burial will take place at Southern WI. Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Monday, Sept 18 at 10AM.
