Goedland, Annette P. (nee Wasielewski) On this day, August 9, 2007, God called to one of his earthly angels and invited her to join him for all eternity in His heavenly home. Annette was the most cherished friend and wife to her husband Fred for almost 60 years. She was 71 at the time of her passing. She will be deeply missed by Fred and all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur J. and Priscilla T. Wasielewski. Annette and Fred shared over 51 blessed years of marriage together and have the greatest family in the world. She leaves behind her husband Fred, their three children: Holly (Neal) Teska, Brian (Joan) and Andrew (Lora) and all her grandchildren: Evan (Kristin), Stefanie, Anna, Madelyn, Owen and Victoria who were her pride and joy of her life. Annette will also be deeply missed by her brother Richard Wasielewski and sister-in-law Carol, as well as many nieces, nephews and sister-in-law Doris Goedland. Funeral Mass Monday August 13, 2007 10:30 AM at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CHURCH (3222 S. 29th St.). Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-6 PM at the Funeral Home with Prayer Service at 5:30 PM, and thereafter on Monday 9:30-10:15 AM at the church. PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH ON MONDAY. Annette and Fred made friends at an early age in grade school when they began going to movies and roller skating together. Later after they married, they enjoyed traveling to Northern Minnesota each summer to vacation, fish and enjoy renewal time at Steamboat Lake. Eventually their children and most of their relation gathered annually to vacation together, tell tales of the fish that got away, and enjoy one another's company. Family was always very important to Annette and she enjoyed every opportunity to bring the family together. Annette touched the lives of many people through the Shaklee business she and Fred built and ran together. She never ceased to be an active volunteer at her church in many capacities including her recently-elected role on the parish council. She also contributed to many other organizations all through her life. Annette had many friends in Shaklee, at the United Seniors of Wisconsin where she was a board member and at her church Our Lady Queen of Peace; she will be missed by all. Annette's dreams for a new home came true only three years ago after many years of searching for that perfect place to retire with Fred. Annette loved sitting in the enclosed porch watching the birds by day, and at night, the animals that came to drink from the birdbath. Annette and Fred enjoyed their frequent travel to Florida in recent years and their many friends and neighbors there, too. Annette loved to shop wisely and always found the quality bargains. Annette, Fred and brother Rich and wife Carol were very close friends and the foursome enjoyed playing card games, traveling together and eating out almost every weekend. Annette loved helping people; she had a big heart for all God's children. Annette was a fighter all her life and never gave up looking for relief from her illness; she passed away peacefully in her home in the loving presence of her family. The family extends a very special thank you to Fr. Greg Spitz of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish for his never ending support and friendship, the very caring VNA staff and the many doctors and nurses that watched over Annette through her long illness. In lieu of flowers Annette's request was that you send a donation in her memory to your favorite charity or to Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish for their drive for a new piano to be used in the church and by the choir.
