Anna "Ann" Koehler

December 17, 1919 — June 17, 2017

"Ann" (nee Yelich) Died on 06/17/2017 at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care in Waukesha, WI. She was born in Croatia, Europe on 12/17/1919. At three years old she came to Milwaukee, WI with her parents, George and Elizabeth where she was raised and educated. She was happily married to Raymond O. Koehler for fifty years, who was a Milwaukee Police Detective. Ray was a WWII Marine seeing action in the Pacific Theatre with island landings, and also served as Marine support on the USS Maryland. He completed and retired from his military career through the US Army Reserves. Ann held various office positions with the most interesting as the first Executive Secretary for Mr. Bud Selig when he was President of the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club. She and her husband retired to Shawano Lake, WI, and enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing, family and friends. She was also a past President of Shawano Woman's Club. While living in Shawano, Ray worked for the WI Motor Vehicle Department, was president of two Shawano Lake Sanitary Department committees, gave various talks on Police Science in the community & police departments, and taught Police Science at Green Bay Northeast Technical College. They were seasonal residents in High Point, Brooksville, FL; and then permanent residents in Timber Pines, Spring Hill, FL where Ann continued to live after Ray's passing. In 2010 Ann returned to WI to be near her family, and lived at the Muskego Regency and then Applewood Senior Living Community. Proceeded in death by her husband, Ray and son, Douglas G. Babich. Survived by her son, Robert J. Babich, daughter, Patricia A. Koehler, and grandson, Nicholas K. Martinez (Sheila). She is eternally united with her love, Ray, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Her family invites you to offer any donations/gifts to Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care.
