Angela Marie Cortese

Passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2017 at the age of 34. Beloved daughter of Steven and Heidi Cortese. Loving sister of Jason Cortese. Cherished granddaughter of Marie Kovac and Melania Cortese. Dear niece of Joseph and Sandra Cortese and John and Sandra Behning. Further survivied by her special cat Josie, many loving relatives and dear friends. Angela graduated from Franklin High School in 2000. From there she attended the University of Minnesota where she received her doctorate of Pharmacy in 2007. Most recently, from 2013 to the present, Angela was a Teaching Specialist in the University's Pharmacology Department. Angela was a huge supporter of the Minnesota Zoo, the Humane Society and animals in general. She was a big fan of the Minnesota Twins and The Wild. She also loved music, all types of dance, was a trivia fanatic and a true Minneapolis Foodie. A Celebration of Angela's Life will take place at Max A. Sass & Sons-Mission Hills Chapel on Friday, December 8 starting at 4PM with Eulogies beginning at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Angela's name appreciated to your local Humane Society or to ASPCA (aspca.org).
