Andrew John Gabelbauer, known affectionately as Andy, passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 50. Born on May 2, 1973, in Milwaukee, WI, Andy was a man whose warmth and humor brought joy to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband to Angie, a loving father to Michael "Mick," a cherished son to Kathy and John, and a dear brother to Marie (Jon) McKellips. Andy is further survived by his aunts, uncles, in-laws, nephews, niece, many cousins, and friends.

Andy was a proud graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, where he cultivated his love for sports, playing football on a state championship team. Andy's love for sports continued into adulthood as he embraced the game of rugby, playing with passion for the West Side Harlequins.

Fishing and hunting were not just hobbies for Andy, but a way of life that he lovingly shared with his son Mick. The bond they forged in the quiet hours of dawn, surrounded by the beauty of nature, was unbreakable. These moments were cherished by both father and son and are now a treasured legacy that Mick will carry forward.

Andy was also a self-proclaimed master of the game of cribbage, often found with a deck of cards in hand, ready for a friendly challenge. He could be found playing cribbage Monday nights with his dad. His quick wit and playful banter across the cribbage board were as much a part of the game as the cards themselves.

Andy was funny and his humor could brighten even the darkest of days. His infectious laugh and ability to find humor in the simple things were qualities that drew people to him.

In keeping with Andy's love for life, his family will carry forward the values he cherished, finding comfort in the natural beauty of the world he enjoyed and the people he brought together. Andy's story is not one of an end, but a chapter in an ongoing legacy of family, friendships, and laughter.
