Andrew "Andy" R. Abramski

June 26, 1979 — February 7, 2024

Andrew Raymond Abramski, known affectionately to all as Andy, left this world with the same quiet dignity with which he lived his life on February 7, 2024. Born on June 26, 1979, in Wind Lake, Wisconsin. Andy passed away after a battle with liver disease, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and the lingering smell of a well-tended bonfire.

Andy was the life of any party, especially if that party involved fishing, hunting, or just hanging out with friends in the garage, drinking a beer. His spirit was as infectious as his love for polka music, which he insisted on blasting every Sunday morning, much to the delight (and occasional chagrin) of his parents and neighbors. Even the fish in channel and lake knew to swim a little faster on the days Andy was out with his rod and reel.

He was the embodiment of friendly, spirited, and handy. Andy loved to spend time at his cabin with his family. His bonfires were legendary. Andy enjoyed a simple life living with a less is more attitude. He blended in, adapted and conquered while sneaking through life in his many different camouflage outfits.

Andy leaves behind a family who adored him: his parents, Raymond and Linda Abramski; his older sister, Angela Bakke, and her husband, Eric; his younger brother, Robert Abramski, and his wife, Holly; and his nephews, Jensen, Carson, Greyson, and Colton, who will miss their uncle's occasional teasing and playful banter.

Andy's absence will be felt deeply, but the stories of his escapades will continue to bring joy and laughter to those who were lucky enough to know him.

To say Andy was a character is an understatement. He was the whole book, the kind that you can't put down and wish would never end. In the great comedy club of life, Andy was the headliner, leaving us all with one last smile as he exits the stage.

As we say goodbye to Andy, let's honor his memory by living as he did: with a fishing pole in one hand, a hunting rifle in the other, and a heart full of joy. Tight lines, Andy. Your spirit will forever be the catch of the day. We love you and will miss you terribly.

All are encouraged to wear camo/hunting apparel to honor Andy's love for the outdoors.
