Alice R. Peterson

Peterson, Alice R. Alice Ruby Gerard Peterson, a woman with an enormous capacity for delight, died peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the age of 95. Born to Martha and Sherman Cross in 1919 in Canada, the family moved to St. Paul early in her childhood. She married Harold Gerard in 1939 and they settled in Stoughton. Alice worked for 25 years at Stoughton Community Hospital. In 1976 she married Robert Peterson and moved to Greendale. Alice was a charter member of Greendale American Legion Post Auxillary. She is survived by her children Carol (Don Andryzck) Martinson of Brooklyn, Judy (Wayne) Foster of Greendale, and Michael Gerard of Stoughton. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: James (Julie) Martinson, Katherine Remmel, Sherrie (Claudio) Aranguiz; Shane and Nathan Gerard, Shelby (Tim) Thorson; Jocelyn Foster (Al Shelden); and 13 great grandchildren: Tyler, Davis, Paige; Nicholas, Heather, Grant; Jonathan, Hannah, Kayla; Sawyer, Walker; Luke and Angelikah. Alice is predeceased by spouses Harold Gerard ('72) and Robert Peterson ('88); siblings Patrick, Evelyn, Lois, Michael, John, Eugene, and Leonard; Grandson, Jonathan Foster, son-in-law Don Martinson, daughter-in -law Sheila Gerard. Visitation at Community United Methodist Church, 14700 Watertown Plank Rd, Elm Grove, Saturday, February 28, at 10 am; Service at 11 am. Reception to follow.
