Alex was born March 15, 1918, to Andrew and Viola May Kutz (nee Regulski) in Milwaukee and passed into Eternal Life on May 3, 2018, at the age of 100. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Richard Kutz, and sister-in-law, Gertrude Ann Kutz (nee Kolasinski). Alexander is survived by his loving and devoted nephew, John Richard Kutz, with whom he lived for the last 12 years of his life. He graduated from South Division High School and became one of the most tenacious people you would have ever wanted to meet. Alexander was inducted into the United States Army on March 24, 1942. He proudly served the country as part of the 602nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion in France and Germany. He was a recipient of the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze service stars (Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Ardennes-Alsace). He was honorably discharged from service as a corporal on December 7, 1945. Following his military service, Alexander served the people of Milwaukee through his employment for the Milwaukee Public Schools and the City of Milwaukee. Following his retirement in 1978, he served his family by caring for his mother. Alexander will always be remembered for his love of life and love of family. He was always eager to help with a project, and he took care of the people he loved. He was a charming and endearing friend. He was always ready with a warm smile or a work of encouragement. Alexander lived life on his own terms, but always in the service of those he loved. John would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Daniel Nordin; nurses Lisa and Kayla; Norma and Krin with Aurora Health Care; and family friend Michael for all of their kind and compassionate care.
