After fighting the good fight against a number of medical challenges, John Volpe, 58, of Wauwatosa passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Born on July 26, 1965 in Milwaukee, John was the oldest of three sons and grew up in Shorewood, graduating from Shorewood High School in 1984.
John enjoyed a long career in the food and beverage industry, most notably lengthy tenures with Miss Katie’s Diner and Buck Bradley’s.
John had a heart of gold and a wicked sense of humor. He was always willing to help anyone, day or night, who needed his assistance. If you met John just once, you immediately became a close friend for life. John was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed coaching, playing, and watching and supporting all local and state teams.
John leaves behind his devoted wife of 28 years Ann (Berg) and two amazing sons Duke and Ricco. He is further survived by his brothers, Joe and Tony Volpe, brothers-in-law Rick Berg, Steve (Sue) Berg, John (Teri) Berg, sisters-in-law Margie Berg and Karen Paget (Berg) along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
John is now reunited with his parents John Volpe and Sharon Plotkin, his father and mother-in-law Dick and Joan Berg, his brothers-in-law Bill Berg and Wally Paget, and sister-in-law Lee Berg. John will be forever missed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Christ King Church, 2604 N. Swan Blvd., Wauwatosa. There will be a private interment.
A special thank you to the 6th floor nursing staff at Elmbrook Hospital for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the family are appreciated.
