Trinkl, Jerome F. "Jerry" Passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from ALS in the comfort of his home at the age of 65. Beloved husband and best friend of Doris (nee Piotrowski) for nearly 40 years. Proud dad of Natalie (William) Glass and Holly (Scott) Simons. Honored and adoring grandpa of Henry and Hugo. Loving son of Joseph and Joan (nee Ledvorowski) Trinkl. Eldest brother of Jean (Mike)Goodstein, Jacquie (the late Lawrence)Wedgeworth, John (Grace)Trinkl, Joe (Kathy)Trinkl and Jayne (Chris)Ehlenbach. Fond brother-in-law of Cheryl (Carl), Paul (Pat) and Donn (Barbara). Son-in-law of the late Henry and the late Diana Piotrowski. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jerry was employed with Roman Electric Company for 36 years. He was passionate about many things, especially playing his classical guitar as well as enjoying all types of music. Jerry was an avid race car enthusiast favoring Road America and loved his opportunities to race on the Elkhart Lake track. Jerry loved to travel and savored fine food and wine. He would make 2 Thanksgiving dinners; one "eats" for his family and one "cuisine" for him. Jerry will be missed for his adventurous spirit. Sass & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 28 from 4-7 pm. Additional visitation on Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3100 S. 41st St., from 9:30-9:45 am.
