Harry Karpinski

December 30, 1932 — October 20, 2023

Harry Karpinski was born into eternal life on Friday, October 20, 2023 in his hometown of Milwaukee at the age of 90. Harry was born on December 30, 1932, and lived a life filled with kindness, laughter, and a deep devotion to his family.


Harry served our country in the Army stationed in Korea. He retired from Rexnord in 1996 and loved taking annual trips to Las Vegas. He had many hobbies through the years including bowling and fishing. He enjoyed watching the Packers and spending the summer time at the cottage in Beaver Dam. His sense of humor was legendary. He could always be counted on to lighten the mood with a well-timed joke and had a knack for making everyone around him smile.


Harry is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Darlene (nee Wiersgalla), and their three children, Doreen, Kevin (Maribeth), and Nadine (Don) Mitchen. He was a loving grandfather to Emily Mitchen, Jennifer Mitchen, and Steph Karpinski. Each of them held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents Valentine and Helen, brother Ernest (Theresa), sister Cecilia (Robert) Gronowski and granddaughter Amanda Karpinski.


Visitation will take place at Max A. Sass & Sons, 4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield on Wednesday, October 25 from 10 am – 12 pm. Service at noon then proceeding to St. Adalbert Cemetery for for prayer and military honors.

In his 27 years of retirement Harry enjoyed a relaxed life so come as you are in casual wear.
