Dorothy Mary Mayer

Mayer, Dorothy M. (Nee Wachal) Passed away peacefully on January 27, 2012 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Robert Mayer for 65 years. Loving mother of Mary Remington, Robert (Janis), Richard (Jackie), Joel (Laurie) and Daniel (Jill) Mayer. Proud grandmother of Jacob (Renee), Adam (Krista), Bobby (Julie), Tracy (Dave), Christian (Melannie), Ashley (John), Matt (Lyndsy), Luke and Nicholas. Further survived by 13 great-grandchildren, a sister Caroline Gabriel, sisters-in-law, Margaret (Luke) Loomis and Doris Mayer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dorothy was a member of Sacred Hearts / St. Martin of Tours Church and active in the Golden Agers and the Franklin Senior Citizens. She enjoyed volunteering for many activities at the church including the church thrift shop. Her love in life was her family. Mass of Christian Burial 6:30 PM Friday, February 3, 2012 at ST. MARTIN OF TOURS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7963 S. 116TH St., Franklin. Visitation at the church Friday from 4:00 to 6:15 PM. Interment St. Martin of Tours Cemetery 2:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2012. Memorials to the church or Mass Offerings deeply appreciated by the family.
