of Oak Creek, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the age of 67 after a courageous battle against cancer. David was born on May 9, 1950, in Milwaukee, WI, to Carol M. (nee Gibbs) and Orval V. Jenks, Jr. On August 28, 1982, David married Pamela (nee DeLap), with whom he shared 35 years of marriage filled with love and laughter. A quick wit and a generous heart endeared David to his family, friends, and coworkers. Always curious, David enjoyed reading, politics, and honing his golf game. The Legend at Brandybrook became a second home, where he shared many rounds of golf with his beloved friends. December 2017 marked 40 years of sobriety for David, a point of lifelong pride. Years as a substance abuse counselor began David's career in healthcare, during which his roles (like those at Aurora Health Care and Ascension) were varied, but his entrepreneurial spirit and dealmaking skills constant. Proud Papa to granddaughters Audrey and Olivia, David is also survived by his wife Pamela and their children Jina (Sean) Amaro-Burns and Brian Jenks; siblings Roger (Sylvia) Jenks, Barbara (Marv) Miller, and Kathleen (Ron) Grobben; and numerous loving in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Steven O. Jenks. Visitation Saturday December 9, 2017, from 9 until 11 a.m. with a eulogy service at 11 a.m. at the Max A. Sass & Sons Southshore Chapel. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Milwaukee to follow at 12:30 p.m. His family would like to extend a special thank you to his doctor, Rubina Qamar, who saw to his care since 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Steven O. Jenks Memorial Scholarship through the UW-Green Bay Foundation.
